The nineteenth hole is an essential part of many golfers day out. Some use the nineteenth to celebrate a good round of golf, while others use it to forget. There are few clubhouses that offer the levels of relaxation that can be found at Canons Brook Golf Club. The clubhouse retains the elegance of the existing barn style building adjacent to the course, nestles comfortably into the beautiful backdrop of the surrounding landscape. The bar is open, airy and surrounded by large glass windows offering views of the course. The bar is fully licensed and you can take advantage of either a bar snack or for the larger appetites, there are excellent restaurant facilities. Our bar manager runs his operation in an efficient and organised manner catering for a wide range of beers, lagers, ciders and spirits, whilst the catering manager offers members and visitors alike a wide choice of balanced food aimed at satisfying the most hearty of appetites. Changing facilities are adjacent to the clubhouse and host changing rooms for ladies and gentlemen, with full washing and shower-room facilities. Canons Brook Golf Club have designed and built a nineteenth hole that will live up to your expectations, so why not pay it a visit and discover it for yourself.

Lindsey Street Community Association was founded and built by mainly local residents in the early 1950`s for the enjoyment and entertainment of the local families, it has since then opened its doors to new members from a wide area and membership now stands at around 350. The original small wooden building has been greatly extended with the addition of a large hall with a stage and ante rooms and a kitchen, the hall can be hired by members for functions such as, parties, weddings etc and has the advantage of having its own bar, hirers also have the use of a large kitchen for their catering needs. The club also has a large private car park The original building houses the members lounge and bar which has a pool table, dartboard and games machines, there is another room attached which has a full sized snooker table and a further darts board used for competitions. Entertainment on Saturday nights varies between visiting acts, and homespun events such as Discos, Race Nights and the occasional Karaoke Night.   There are a number of activities within the club which are run by their own members, I have listed these on the In-house page with contact names and telephone numbers new members are always welcome both for the club and the in house sections. Moot House at The Stow, Harlow is an attractive 19th-century grade II listed house. It was initially built circa 1840 to house the incumbent of the nearby St Mary-at-Latton church. The view of the church from the house disappeared as the Stow, the nucleus of Harlow New Town was built. Having been taken over from Harlow Development Corporation by Essex County Council, the house became the base of the Mark Hall & Netteswell Community Association in 1952. In 1987 a disastrous fire caused considerable damage, and a complete refurbishment and redecoration programme was carried out.   Since then the Association has and continues to provide a base for many organisations and activities. A complete list of these organisations is available from the office.
