The Purple Emperor pub has been a family-owned pub since September 2008; At the helm is Martin & Susan Haines with their daughter Sally & her husband Jamie. since then it has grown and grown in popularity. Not only does the pub have a wonderful staff and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, but it really does have something for everyone. 

During the week the pub is perfect as a ‘local’; with quizzes, poker nights all premier & champions league football. and more, it can be an enjoyable night out any night of the week. With two separate bars, the pub is big enough that if you don’t want to join in, then you can just have a quiet drink. 

At the weekend The Purple Emperor is known for its live music, live bands, first-rate live vocalists and it even hosts band and acoustic competitions. Increasingly The Purple Emperor is known as the place to be for music lovers all over the town. But don’t forget their second bar is always there if you fancy a quiet drink with some background music.
