Lindsey Street Community Association was founded and built by mainly local residents in the early 1950`s for the enjoyment and entertainment of the local families, it has since then opened its doors to new members from a wide area and membership now stands at around 350.
The original small wooden building has been greatly extended with the addition of a large hall with a stage and ante rooms and a kitchen, the hall can be hired by members for functions such as, parties, weddings etc and has the advantage of having its own bar, hirers also have the use of a large kitchen for their catering needs.
The club also has a large private car park
The original building houses the members lounge and bar which has a pool table, dartboard and games machines, there is another room attached which has a full sized snooker table and a further darts board used for competitions.
Entertainment on Saturday nights varies between visiting acts, and homespun events such as Discos, Race Nights and the occasional Karaoke Night.
